The Investment Summit raises a prospective $2.7 BN

In an attempt to promote the opportunities in Bangladesh, the International Investment Summit 2021 Bangladesh took place in November 2021 to outline the emerging markets for the nation. The summit was attended by around 6000 participants, which is allegedly just 25% of all that have signed up, across 54 countries through 16 sessions.

At the end of the summit, various industrial groups from a range of countries pledged to invest an estimate of $2.7 billion, out of which some notable investments can be summarized as follows;

Engineering Dimension, a Saudi industrial group, pledged to invest $1.75 billion to produce power generators and cement manufacturing plants. Aygaz, a Turkish industrial group, has plans to invest around $150 million through United Group. Karnaphuly Dry Dock, a local company, has plans to invest $118 million to construct a terminal at Chattagram port. Barishal Electric Power Company aims to spend an amount of $100 million to generate electricity, and lastly, Guopo Renewable Energy Tech, an amount of $50 million.
