Integrated Composite Industries Ltd., a UAE and Bangladesh joint venture company. Is set to invest US $10 million to establish a modern Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composite products manufacturing facility in the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) Economic Zone (EZ).
Under a recently signed land lease agreement with BEPZA at its Dhaka complex, the company will produce a range of high-quality FRP products including modern bathtubs, jacuzzis, panel tanks, and associated components such as moulds and patterns to support production.
The UAE and Bangladesh project’s annual production capacity is targeted at 6,174 tonnes, with a strong focus on export markets, especially serving demand from Dubai’s shipbuilding and cruise sectors.
This investment is expected to generate 906 employment opportunities for Bangladeshi workers, strengthening the local industrial workforce and enhancing the export-oriented manufacturing ecosystem.
BEPZA Executive Chairman Major General Mohammad Moazzem Hossain emphasised that the venture represents a strategic push toward industrial diversification, moving beyond traditional sectors to high-value and technologically advanced industries.
The signing ceremony was attended by top leaders from both BEPZA and Integrated Composite Industries, highlighting Bangladesh’s attractiveness as a destination for foreign direct investment and its commitment to expanding its export base.
